Toronto coroner during the 1960s, he was the model used for the role of "Wojeck", played by John Vernon, a Canadian coroner drama that paved the way for Quincy. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Shulman purchased the rights to Deprenyl, an anti-Parkinson's medication. This particular medication had a number of popular "off the book" uses as well. Deprenyl Animal Health, Inc. touted the use of the drug as life extender for pets. Others noticed that the drug increased horniness.
