The rebel base on the frozen planet Hoth is under attack; Han and Leia escape to Cloud City and see Lando Calrissian. The ghost of Obi Wan Kenobi orders Luke to the distant swamp planet of Dagobah to receive Jedi training from Yoda, and absorb his subtle wisdom; he departs mid-training to rescue Han and Leia. Darker than the first installment, this "Episode V" is strongest of the Star Wars trilogy. Won Oscars for Best Sound and a Special Achievement for Visual Effects; received nominations for Best Set Decoration and Best Original Score.
