Architect of Dick Armey's flat-tax proposal, which Moore generated as Armey's economics policy adviser. Moore currently heads the Club for Growth, a conservative action committee dedicated to promoting anti-tax political candidates. During the 2004 primary elections, the Club for Growth spent more than a million dollars trying to defeat incumbent Republican Senator Arlen Specter in favor of conservative Congressman Pat Toomey. Specter narrowly survived the internecine battle.
